PLS DO 'CLEAR PRIVATE DATA' (OR SOMETHING SIMILAR)
ON THE BROWSER BEFORE AND AFTER YOU HAVE DONE A
yoga4d.org/privacy SESSION WITH THIS VERY VERY
VERY SIMPLE 'ELIZA'-LIKE FRIENDLY 'HUMANISTIC
CARL ROGERS-LIKE THERAPEUT' SESSION)

Hi! Perhaps you find yourself wonderfully tranquil,
successful, fresh, happy, alert and all that, and
then you surely deserve that. Now all of us may at
times feel a bit frustrated; at some times, there
is a usefulness in knowing about various ways to
defuse frustration -- for on occasion, frustration
may be too rich to be handled in normal ways.
Imagine, for instance, a person being in a very,
very complicated situation. Perhaps in a foreign city.
Perhaps with a very moderate amount of money left; or
with somebody upsetting one's state of mind one cannot
get anything thought through. Perhaps one is, though,
inside or near an internet cafe or a PC connected to
internet. One really needs a weekend with a great friend
going for long walks in nature, breathing silence: but as
it is, one has to get one's mind together, as it is called,
right there and then, cars rushing by outside the window
-- friends maybe thousands of miles away at that moment.
What is one to do?
This writer remembers, at one occasion in Manhattan,
New York, with some ten or twenty dollars in the pocket,
that the Visa card not only didn't function anymore, but
was demanded back by the bank officials when I tried to
use it, uncertain of how much was at the account. Being
great friends with people about equally penniless, all
affluent friends being on the other side of the Atlantic
ocean, there was more than a mild sense of frustration.
I had to meditate to work out the next step: but where
should I do it? I needed to sort through the various
alternatives, think consequences, in privacy. If I had
known about something like yoga4d.org/privacy then,
I would have logged on to it, and worked out the thoughts
there, I think.
So, at some stage later on, I promised myself I would
one day make something like that, for I know that
on some occasions, a stupid computer with friendly
responses demanding nothing back, and forgetting it
all afterwards, can be exactly what one wants, and need.
In an ideal world, when somebody garantees a private
session on the computer: that anything can be typed
without anybody recording what's typed, anywhere, then
this garantee is good and valid. I have here a computer
program -- it is a very minimized version of Eliza, it
doesn't do any much analysis of anything, it simply
gives a reply, maybe irrelevant but never irreverent or
hasty or impolite -- to a sentence typed in. It doesn't
store anything.
HOWEVER, A COMPUTER CAN BE SET UP SO AS TO STORE
THINGS AFTER ALL. So there is NO GARANTEE OF PRIVACY. I
say, therefore, only type in things here if you
generalize so that you give NO PRIVATE INFO AT ALL about
yourself. Or, if you do, know that while I can garantee
that this program does not store anything, I cannot
garantee that some computer somewhere in the big wild
anarchistic internet doesn't store all that you are
typing (e.g., it could be a computer virus monitoring
the keyboard). So type in freedom, but try to avoid any
entirely personal data. If you need some quick replies.
For an even more private session, get the program
(which is part of the package at norskesites.org/fic3
and which has this text form: www.yoga4d.org/eliza.txt)
installed on a local computer with no internet
connection, and run it locally. GOOD LUCK!!! -- Aristo
Tacoma, June 20th, 2010.
Here is the program -- click
  right here now
to enter into a text-only session with it. Remember
that though it is being called yoga4d.org/privacy,
you keep all definite data about yourself out of it
as much as possible, especially if you think the
line is monitored somehow. But, again, I myself --
having programmed this -- certainly do not record
any element of what you type at all. The program gives
a response and then that part of the computer memory
is deleted. However, your browser will often retain
the lines you have recently typed (they come up when
you begin to type something more). So, as I say on
top of this page:

ON THE BROWSER BEFORE AND AFTER YOU HAVE DONE A

VERY SIMPLE 'ELIZA'-LIKE FRIENDLY 'HUMANISTIC

(The phrase "Clear Private Data" I find on the
Mozilla Firefox browser that I use, which is on
the Red Hat 8.0 operating system (its Wine0.9
departement) which is my favourite. On other
browsers, there might be other things mentioned
on the menu for the browser somewhere.)

GOOD LUCK!!!
